Aluwave AB is an innovative Swedish company specialising in electronics cooling technology and has developed a unique and versatile substrate system called Alunat™. Alunat™ is a ceramic based metal core printed circuit board, MCPCB, and is used for effective cooling of electronic assemblies. Based on this material Aluwave designs and delivers customised light engines built on LED technology.

As a complement to the above Aluwave offers unique competence in thermal, electrical and optical design.

Most of our customers are in the field of LED-lamps and power electronics and can be found in the automotive, architectural, design, sports and work light industry.

Alunat™

Alunat™ is a substrate system designed for use as base material for printed circuit boards and it is built up by three layers. An outer copper layer for forming electrical connections, a dielectric layer with high thermal conductivity yet electrically isolating and finally an aluminum plate for cooling and heat transport. The dielectric layer is developed by Aluwave and can due to its high performence reduce the operating temperature of electrical components. Alunat™ has been developed and adapted in close cooperation with customers. aluwave_light_engine2.jpg

The main of Alunat™ are enhanced technical performance, increased reliability and service life and simplified design with reductions in assembly and component cost.

Aluwave Light Engines

Aluwave has developed a generic light engine, Aluwave Light Engine, which is easily customised to meet your requirements in terms functionality set and board geometry. It is built on Alunat™for optimum performance.
